Does money ever change hands?
No. Keyaway is a true home swap — you offer your home, someone offers theirs. There's no nightly rate, no service fee, and no cut taken from any trip.
When does the other member see my address?
Only after both sides accept a swap. Until then your exact location stays off public maps and listing pages.
Does Keyaway screen or insure members?
No. It's a member-to-member network, not a hotel — no background checks, no identity verification, no insurance. You decide whether to go ahead with each swap. If you'd rather have those guarantees, a hotel is the better tool.
Do I need the app, or does the web work too?
Either. Keyaway is free on the App Store and free in the browser, and both talk to the same account — your listings and proposals follow you across both.
